The ZÁLA chamber and street theatre festival is a unique festival that offers theatre and street productions for everyone who likes entertainment and a friendly family atmosphere.
The ZÁLA festival takes place in Banská Bystrica in the Rudlová - Sásová district. In Rudlová and Sásová, they called a room, a hall, where volunteers performed theatre and other cultural events took place, and from this name came the name of the festival. The festival takes place every year in Divadle pod Balkón and its surroundings in the month of June and lasts four days. During these four days, many theatres, dance schools, and groups will perform at the festival. The festival is aimed mainly at families with children, both in terms of performances and the accompanying programme in the form of creative activities. Evening performances are suitable for adults and young people.
During these four days, the Rudlová - Sásová housing estate is alive with theatre and a lively street show, which takes place in the playgrounds and adjacent areas near the retaining wall and in the Theatre under the balcony. The annual festival also includes various creative workshops, creative workshops for children, fairy tale reading, a magical zoo, and much more.
