Jasenica water reservoir was built for the needs of the new Rudné baní plant in Nová Šachta in 1974-1975.
The dam is located at the end of the valley above the Dinas plant. It collects water from the Jasenické stream. Outlets from the Kolpašké water reservoirs also open into this stream, so in the past it was also possible to indirectly take water from these sources as well. The water from the dam was pumped into the reservoir above the site of the mine processing plant in Šobov with the help of a pumping station under the dam and a pumping station under the eastern slope of Kalvária. From there, it fell into technological use. Until the end of the plant's existence, Dinas Banská Belá served as a source of technological water. Currently, it is used only for fishing purposes.
