The Evangelical Church in Kremnica stands on the site of an original wooden prayer house from 1682.
The present masonry building was designed in 1819 by Johann Gottfried Freyseysen, inspector of the Evangelical congregation, and after public financial support was consecrated in 1826. The Classical façade with paired pilasters and a decorated tympanum emphasises symmetry and restrained elegance. The centrally vaulted space with a dome creates a bright interior, complemented by an altar painting by the artist Vojtech (Béla) Angyal from 1886. The church was built by the master builder František Hauser from Banská Štiavnica and is one of the most important Evangelical sacral buildings in the region.
